First day of summer workouts is in the books. It was great to see kids back in the school. We had 28 tough athletes show up committed to making themselves better in order to make their team better. Success has no off-season. It demands a grueling grind day in and day out.
We will have workouts on Mondays at 4:00pm and then Tues-Fri at 8:00 am until farther notice. Don’t forget to bring your face covering and water bottle and be ready to work.

Don’t forget, at 4:00 this afternoon we will begin our summer training for athletics. Its open ONLY to students in grades 7-12. A face covering is required to enter. Workouts will last no longer than 3.5 hrs but could be finished in 2 hrs or less.
To be great takes an all-the-time, year-round commitment to greatness. You can’t wait until August to start preparing and then expect the results you want.

Reminder that Graduation 2020 is scheduled for tonight at 8:00 p.m. at BVISD Longhorn Stadium. This event will require a ticket for admission that was passed out by each graduating senior. We would like to remind everyone that we will be following CDC guidelines and appreciate everyone's cooperation so that we can make this a memorable occasion for our graduating seniors & their families. Very excited to announce that we will begin summer workouts Mon June 8th at 4:00. ONLY students in grades 7-12 should report to the back of the cafeteria entrance to the screening checkpoint with a face covering and practice social distancing at all times. Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures. Eligible P-EBT families will receive application instructions from schools in late May. The P-EBT application will open the first week of June.
P-EBT food benefits are for children who received SNAP food benefits for March 2020 and children who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019-20 Texas school year. For more information, visit: hhs.texas.gov/PEBT

With the information given out today by the Texas Governor, the UIl has decided to end the rest of the 2019-2020 sporting seasons. Although this is very disappointing for everyone involved, the decision was made in the best interest of the fans, coaches, parents, and most importantly, the student athletes. BVISD is proud of all of our student athletes and their accomplishments this year.
Viernes (4/17) Gobernador Abbott emitió una orden ejecutiva que las escuelas permanezcan cerradas por el resto del año escolar. Buena Vista ISD continuará brindando instrucción, además de entregar comidas semanales preempaquetadasa través en Imperial y Coyanosa cada miercoles.
Friday(4/17): Governor Abbott issued an executive order extending the closure of school buildings for the remainder of the school year. Buena Vista ISD will continue to provide instruction, as well as deliver weekly prepackaged meals at both Imperial & Coyanosa on Wednesdays.
BVISD will begin handing out prepackaged meals on weekly basis beginning tomorrow, Wednesday(4/15) at 12:00 p.m. & continue each Wednesday in April. Students will receive the last breakfast at regular time tomorrow in Immperial. See attached photo for more information.
