FACE TO FACE PARENTS AND STUDENTS Attendance is very important for all virtual students, face to face students and asynchronous students. The following will be the only acceptable excuse for needing to use virtual learning as a platform if you are a face to face student with permission from the school office. If any you fall under any of these exceptions you must contact the office for permission to go virtual learning for the day. COVID 19 SYMPTOMS Doctors excuse stating quarantine Any other excuse such as doctors appointments, other illnesses, vacation, not being in town will not count and your child will be counted absent if you have chosen to be face to face. If you have picked face to face for the 9 week grading period your attendance will be counted as a face to face student. Again, you must have permission from the campus office to go virtual learning for that day if you are a face to face student.

The JV VB game that is scheduled with Holy Cross on Sept 29th in Odessa will now be played in Imperial.

Below you will see the information for the HS CC meet at Presidio on Thurs. 9/17.

The JH and HS VB teams will play Rankin on Tues. 9/15 at home. The JH game will start at 4:00 followed by the the JV and then the HS. On Thur. 9/17, the HS CC teams will travel to Presidio to compete. The girls will start at 9:00am followed by they boys. The JH and HS FB teams will play Sierra Blanca on Fri. 9/18 at home. The JH will start at 5:00 followed by the HS. On Sat. 9/19, the JH CC teams will travel to Rankin to compete. Start times will be updated once we receive them. The HS VB team will travel to Grandfalls on Sat. 9/19 to play. The start time has changed from 1:00 to 10:00 am. Good luck to the Var VB team on Sat. 9/12 as they take on TLCA at 1:00. The gym is located at 3300 Thomas Ave, Midland. Below you will find the guidelines for the TLCA gym. Please be aware that TLCA is only allowing the first 66 of our fans into the gym. Please follow all guidelines.

Tickets for the HS FB game at Grandfalls this friday have arrived. You can pick them up at the front office of the school. You will not need to pay for the tickets until you enter the stadium. As always, please make sure that you wear your mask, social distance, and follow all the guidelines.

Grandfalls has decided to change their procedures for entering their facilities for the football game Friday night. At this time, they have not provided any tickets to us. Once they have made their final decisions and have informed us of their plan, we will make it public.

Parents Just a reminder that tomorrow September 9, 2020 the final set of students scheduled to come for face to face learning will be 10th-12th grades. If you have any questions please call the office 432-536-2336. Bus route schedule is as follows: Coyanosa begins pickup at 6:20 a.m., Ft. Stockton bus departs at 7:00 a.m., and Odessa bus departs at 6:30 a.m.

The JH FB team will take on Grandfalls here on Thurs. 9/10 at 5:30. Make sure you have your family pass and mask to get in. On Fri. 9/11, the HS FB team will travel to Grandfalls to play at 7:30. A limited number of tickets can be purchased at the front office for $3.00 a piece. End zone seating at Grandfalls will be available for fans who wish to bring their own lawn chairs. Lots of VB tonight here at BV. We have the Blue and Gold teams in JH taking on Sterling City at 4:00, followed by the JV Vs Sterling City and then the Var. playing Sterling City. Don't forget to come out and support the Varsity Longhorn Football team tonight as they take on Sanderson at 7:30 here. The concession stand will not be open. We encourage everyone to follow the guidelines which include wearing a mask and social distancing. We also ask that fans sit only in the designated areas in the stands. Your cooperation with these guidelines increases the opportunity for BVISD to provide a safe environment for all to enjoy.

It is important that spectators follow all the guidelines set forth by all schools for sporting events. The UIL has now decided to enforce consequences for schools not following the set guidelines which could include suspension of contests or discontinuation of public access. At BVISD, the use of mask, sanitizer, and social distancing will be required. A temperature check station will be in place at the entrance of sporting events. To accommodate the 50% capacity rule, tickets will be issued and can also be obtained from either Coach K or Coach P. To help with these difficult times, BVISD has decided not to charge for tickets. Seating will be marked to designate appropriate spacing. Again, we ask for your cooperation in following all guidelines at all schools so that we can continue allowing spectators at sporting events and to avoid any consequences.
