The next Senior Spotlight is Ms. Angelina Duarte. While at BVISD, one of her greatest accomplishments was competing at regional Tennis this year. After graduation, Angelina plans to attend Angelo State University and become a pediatric nurse. Her favorite memory of BVISD was getting to go to San Antonio for team tennis. Her advice to future Longhorns is "Challenge yourself. You can always do more than you think you can." Congratulations Angelina! BVISD is proud of you and can not wait to see where life takes you next!

The Senior Spotlight is on Ms. Ireland Sanchez! One of her greatest accomplishments while at BVISD was competing at state competition in cross country and UIL spelling. After graduation, Ireland plans to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her favorite memory while at BVISD was when she was a part of the state championship cross country team! Her advice for BVISD students is to "Trust the process." Congratulations Ireland on all that you have done. Buena Vista ISD looks forward to the success you will have!

We will honor our seniors tomorrow with their final walk of the halls of BVISD. We will begin their walk at 8:30 AM. All are welcome to come and spend this moment with our seniors.

Our First Senior Spotlight is Ms. Yaritza Alejandra Venegas. Some of her accomplishments while at BVHS include playing basketball and dancing with Miss G. After high school, she plans on attending Angelo State and becoming a pharmacy technician. Her favorite memory at BVISD was during her junior year in basketball at Iraan and how Coach Martinez makes her laugh about things that happened in the game. For future Longhorns, Yaritza says "Help is always there when you need it." Congrats Yaritza and we look forward to watching you excel in the future!

Anyone that has a student with medications in the nurse's office, either prescription or over the counter, should pickup those medications by 11am on Friday. 1pm at the latest. Any medications not picked up will be legally discarded. No meds can be left at school. For next year.... Please remember to fill out the health portion completely for 23-24 registration when it opens. It is very important ALL health conditions are reported. Any prescription medications brought for next year must accompany a health plan signed from MD, copy of paper prescription, and paperwork filled out with parent and nurse at the time of medication drop off. Students carrying medications on them is still not permitted.

*Reminder* Cactus Clinic will be here on Thursday at 9am to do athletic physicals for the 23-24 school year. Incoming 6th, 7th, 9th and 11th grade students are required to have a physical to participate in athletics, as well as, new students and students with prior serious injuries. Forms can be found online or in the nurse's office, and can be returned to teachers or the nurse, along with the $10 cash fee.

Hey Longhorn Nation! Just a friendly reminder tomorrow is the Annual Senior vs Teacher Volleyball game at 6 PM. There will be a Cake Auction between games. Come out and show your support. Also, good luck to the UIL Spelling team will be competing this week in the State Meet!

Howdy Longhorn Nation. The water department called me to inform me that the water wells for us are down. They are asking that we do our best to conserve water for the next few days. Once this issue is fixed, I will make sure to send out a notification as well. Thank you all!
