Graduation Plan - Class of 2020 

  • Graduation Date: June 5, 2020 (June 6 as COVID backup date)

  • Time: 8:00 pm

  • Location: BVISD Longhorn Stadium

  • Number of Graduates:  11 

  • There will be NO Graduation Rehearsal

  • LiveStream:  Graduation will be live streamed on BVISD website & social media site(Facebook)

  • Stadium Capacity

    • Total Capacity - 850

      • Home - 650

        • Reserved Seating - 33

        • General Admission - 165

    • 25% Capacity (Current Limitation)- 200

      • 2 Reserved Seating Tickets per Graduate

      • 15 General Seating Tickets per Graduate-Tickets cannot be shared or purchased amongst graduates.  Children & babies count as a guest which requires a ticket.

  • Seating Considerations

    • Graduates & Parents on the football field, spaced appropriately apart.

    • All spectators will be required to stay behind the black fence.

    • Encourage social distancing for all in attendance.

    • Encourage, but not require, face coverings or masks. 

    • Graduates will receive a non-medical grade mask & gloves to wear during the ceremony.

    • Encourage at-risk population to watch the ceremony remotely (live stream)

    • Ensure proper spacing between graduates & attendees:

      • Keep at least two empty seats (or six feet separation) between parties in any row, except as follows:

        • Two or more members of the same household can sit adjacent to one another, with two seats (or six feet separation) empty on either side.

        • Two individuals who are not members of the same household but who are attending together can sit adjacent to one another, with two seats (or six feet separation) empty on either side.

        • Alternate rows between attendees (every other row left empty).

    • Stadium Entry Considerations

      • There will be one entry point to the stadium.

      • Screening Form will be required for stadium entry.

      • Require hand washing and use of hand sanitizing stations.

      • Graduates & Attendees will be required to go through the Fever Detection System following TEA/CDC requirements.

    • Exiting the Stadium

      • Graduates & parents will exit the stadium through the visitor section and enter their cars to prepare for the graduation parade send off.

      • Guests will be exited by seating section.

      • Guest cars will line FM11 in front of the school, Turn on emergency lights to honor the graduates as they descend to their destination.

      • Graduation parade will begin immediately after the ceremony and will start at the First Baptist Church.
