United Way of Odessa and FamilyWize offer Free Flu Vaccinations to the Odessa Community
United Way of Odessa is currently in partnership with FamilyWize and Walgreens to offer FREE flu vaccination vouchers to the Odessa community ahead of the Flu season.
The free flu vaccine voucher is available to anyone 18 and older who is uninsured or unable to afford the flu vaccine. Interested individuals can call 2-1-1 anytime and ask for information on how to request the voucher for the free FamilyWize flu vaccine. Information is also available in the 2-1-1 website at https://www.211texas.org/
For qualified individuals, the voucher will be emailed for redemption at a local Walgreens pharmacy. An ID or proof of citizenship are not required to receive a vaccination. Vaccines are subject to availability and state, age, and health-related restrictions may apply.

Tues. 9/22 the Blue and Gold JH VB teams will play McCamey at home at 4:00 followed by the JV and then the Var.
The JH CC teams will not go to the Pecos Meet on Tues. 9/22. Instead they will compete in the Tall City Meet in Midland on Sat. 9/26.
On Thurs. 9/24 the JH FB team will play in Klondike at 5:30. The JV game with Klondike on Thurs. has been canceled.
Fri. 9/25 the HS FB team will play Klondike at home starting at 7:30.
Sat. 9/26 the JV and Var VB teams will travel to Sterling City to play. The JV plays at 12:00 with the Var. to follow.

FACE TO FACE PARENTS AND STUDENTS
Attendance is very important for all virtual students, face to face students and asynchronous students. The following will be the only acceptable excuse for needing to use virtual learning as a platform if you are a face to face student with permission from the school office. If any you fall under any of these exceptions you must contact the office for permission to go virtual learning for the day.

Doctors excuse stating quarantine
Any other excuse such as doctors appointments, other illnesses, vacation, not being in town will not count and your child will be counted absent if you have chosen to be face to face. If you have picked face to face for the 9 week grading period your attendance will be counted as a face to face student.
Again, you must have permission from the campus office to go virtual learning for that day if you are a face to face student.
The JV VB game that is scheduled with Holy Cross on Sept 29th in Odessa will now be played in Imperial.
Below you will see the information for the HS CC meet at Presidio on Thurs. 9/17.
The JH and HS VB teams will play Rankin on Tues. 9/15 at home. The JH game will start at 4:00 followed by the the JV and then the HS.
On Thur. 9/17, the HS CC teams will travel to Presidio to compete. The girls will start at 9:00am followed by they boys.
The JH and HS FB teams will play Sierra Blanca on Fri. 9/18 at home. The JH will start at 5:00 followed by the HS.
On Sat. 9/19, the JH CC teams will travel to Rankin to compete. Start times will be updated once we receive them.
The HS VB team will travel to Grandfalls on Sat. 9/19 to play. The start time has changed from 1:00 to 10:00 am.

Good luck to the Var VB team on Sat. 9/12 as they take on TLCA at 1:00. The gym is located at 3300 Thomas Ave, Midland. Below you will find the guidelines for the TLCA gym. Please be aware that TLCA is only allowing the first 66 of our fans into the gym. Please follow all guidelines.
