My name is Adelina Wofford, and I am overjoyed to be joining Buena Vista ISD as principal. I was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas. Working and growing in the field of education has always been my passion. In 2002 I earned my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Special Education from The University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2007, I earned my Master of Science degree in Educational Management from the University of Houston- Clear Lake.

My teaching career began in 2002 at Alief ISD in Houston, Texas. For the succeeding 17 years, I have continued to serve in various capacities and leadership positions. I served as an assistant principal for eight years at Outley Elementary before serving as principal for four years at R.P. Harris Elementary in Houston, Texas. Throughout my career I have striven to consistently increase my knowledge in the areas of curriculum, instruction, leadership, and community outreach and involvement.

I am extremely proud to return to my home in West Texas and contribute my effort and expertise to an already wonderful school. It is my firm belief that every student has both the ability and the capacity to be successful. I look forward to working with students, parents, staff, and the surrounding community to achieve our collective goal of educating our students and providing them the skills to achieve at a high level as their young lives progress.
